i~HD involved in a new funded EU Project

On January 1, 2017 a new project, TRILLIUM II, kicked-of. i~HD is one of the 25 partners from Europe and US.

TRILLIUM II is a EU/US Cooperation for Global Interoperability in Digital Health and is advancing an International Patient Summary standard to enable people to access and share their health information for emergency or unplanned care anywhere and as needed starting with immunizations, allergies, medications, clinical  problems, past operations and implants.

i~HD leads WP4 “Context, role and adoption of the Patient Summary in the global ecosystem”.

The specific aims of this WP, vis-à-vis the EU/US roadmap are:

  • Conduct outreach and organize EU/US patient summary workshops for patient advocacy groups, SDOs, and physician and health informatics and emergency associations
  • Share findings with the clinical research and pharmaceutical community as well as patient safety and clinical communities
  • Seek endorsement for the social value of the patient summary effort with global organizations including United Nations Agencies
  • Develop a patient summary education strategy for eHealth/Health IT stakeholders, especially information managers, clinicians, researchers, caregivers and patients.

The project is funded by the E.C. (Horizon 2020). A short description of this project can be read here.
