Francesco Vigna

Francesco Vigna is a PhD candidate of the “International Joint Doctorate in Law, Science and Technology” programme at the University of Bologna in cotutelle with the University of Luxembourg. He is carrying out a visiting period at the faculty of Medicine and Health Science of the University of Ghent and at the European Institute for Innovation Through Health Data (i~HD). He graduated from the University of Torino in April 2019 with a final dissertation on data protection law and personal data processing in clinical trials. He won a scholarship as researcher in data protection law at the Computer Science Department of the University of Torino in June 2019. In November 2019, he won a PhD scholarship at the University of Bologna for a project on big data, AI and data protection law in health data processing.
