i~HD and its new members Microsoft, Novartis and Takeda

The European Institute for Innovation through Health Data opens the new year to announce powerful additions to our members: technology corporation Microsoft and pharmaceutical companies Novartis and Takeda.

Gianluca Diana, Policy Advisor in European Government Affairs at Microsoft says, “We believe i~HD is a key collaboration and a strategic engagement in terms of visibility and scaling up innovation across Europe and beyond.”

Takeda shared their enthusiasm with the partnership. “We are looking forward to working with i~HD and other stakeholders to advance the thinking on how to best harness the power of health data in a way that also builds trust with society and patients. i~HD has already established themselves as a thought leader in this area and it is a true privilege to partner with them, learn from their expertise and contribute to future thinking.” says Meni Styliadou, VP Distinguished Fellow, Data Science at Takeda R&D.

Novartis meanwhile emphasised on the importance of integrated evidence to address key stakeholder needs. According to Kristijan Kahler, Head of External Data Partnerships and Francesco Patalano, Head of Cross-Functional PRO and Pediatric Clinical Development Excellence, “Access to high quality health data in an ethical and compliant manner is critical for generating reliable evidence to support the decision making process and as well as the development of new medicines that can fulfill patients’ unmet needs.  The vision and mission of i-HD is very much in line with enabling appropriate use of high quality health data; and their expertise and access to an extended network of subject matter experts, makes i~HD an ideal neutral partner.”

i~HD is delighted to welcome these new members, and looks forward to their support and expertise in our activities to make health data deliver greater benefits to all stakeholders
