More about the project

The European Health Data & Evidence Network (EHDEN)

  • The European Health Data & Evidence Network (EHDEN) is a proposed IMI project working to:
    • Develop FAIR infrastructure in Europe for real world research with 21st century tools, within a federated network, community and ecosystem, with privacy by design
    • Collaborate with OHDSI in utilising the OMOP common data model, creating a marketplace for certified/qualified SMEs to map data sources reproducibly, supported by a harmonisation fund
    • Support evidence generation via use cases in collaboration with key stakeholders to demonstrate the efficacy of the EHDEN EU framework and support sustainability for all who wish to work with real world data
  • EHDEN is envisaged to start prior to the end of 2018 for five years, supported by an IMI grant, currently under negotiation
