The European Institute for Innovation through Health Data (i~HD), together with a group of 39 organisations, has recently co-signed and published a joint statement on the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

After entering into force in March 2025, the EHDS has the potential to transform healthcare through better and safer use of electronic health data and fostering innovation. In line with this, the group offers three main recommendations to further strengthen collaboration, optimise co-creation and facilitate smooth and effective implementation of the EHDS.
This group of organisations represents stakeholders from the health community and believes that the EHDS can be well-positioned to be the cornerstone of the European digital health landscape.
