Cambridge Prisms: Precision Medicine publishes i~HD eSource Scale-up paper
The European Institute for Innovation through Health Data (i~HD) is delighted to announce the publication of the article “Accelerating eSource scale-up in oncology clinical trials: The i~HD Task Force initiative" in Cambridge Prisms: Precision Medicine of the Cambridge University Press.
This perspective outlines a collaborative roadmap for scaling EHR-to-EDC data integration to improve data quality, reduce site burden, and accelerate oncology clinical trials.
The broader value of this work lies in its transferability across therapeutic areas – extending beyond oncology to fields such as neurology and rare diseases. It illustrates how collaborative governance, implementation science and interoperability standards can converge to bridge the longstanding divide between clinical care and research.
The initiative brings together leading partners across academia, healthcare, and industry — including Cambridge University Hospitals, Mayo Clinic, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, University Hospital Essen, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Lilly, Regeneron, and Sanofi — under the coordination of i~HD.
