The eSource Scale-up Task Force, coordinated by The European Institute for Innovation through Health Data (i~HD), is proud to share the third annex to the eSource Playbook called "Demonstrating the Value of eSource: A Standardised Framework for KPI-Based Evidence in Clinical Trials".
eSource Scale-Up Task Force publishes new Playbook Annex on demonstrated value in clinical trials
The new white paper provides harmonised and reproducible methodologies for six priority indicators:
- CRC Satisfaction and Reduced Site Burden
- Source Data Verification Reduction
- Mapping Reusability
- Decreased Query Count
- Time to Data at Sponsor Availability
- Average Study Setup Time
Developed with contributions fromĀ 5 pharmaceutical companies, 9 research institutions and hospital networks, and 5 technology partners, Annex 3 reflects the operational reality that scalable eSource requires coordinated action across the clinical research ecosystem. It provides a neutral foundation for moving beyond individual success stories towards evidence that can be compared across trials and implementation environments.
The next step is application: generating and sharing aggregated, appropriately anonymised evidence to strengthen collective learning and accelerate the responsible adoption of EHR-to-EDC data transfer at scale.
