Isabelle de Zegher

Senior Advisor Interoperability and AI

Dr. Isabelle de Zegher is a Belgian physician and computer scientist with over 35 years of experience at the intersection of clinical medicine, artificial intelligence, and health data governance. She holds a Doctorate in Medicine and a Master's in Computer Science from the University of Louvain, and a Master's in Medical Information Sciences with a major in AI from Stanford University.

Her career spans senior leadership roles at global organisations including PAREXEL International, Novartis and UCB Pharma, where she led initiatives in AI, Big Data, clinical data standardisation, and electronic submissions. She has served on the Boards of Directors of CDISC and SNOMED International, chaired the EFPIA EHR Task Force, and represented the European pharmaceutical industry at ICH.

As Founder of b!loba and Clinical Coordinator of the EU-funded AIDAVA project, Dr de Zegher focuses on human-centric, FAIR, and AI-powered sovereign health data solutions.
