The European Institute for Innovation through Health Data (i~HD) is participating in the fourth annual Summit for Clinical Ops Executives (SCOPE) scheduled in April 2022. i~HD’s Prof. Dipak Kalra will deliver a keynote presentation titled “Harnessing the Power of Real-World Data (RWD) for Clinical Research: European Initiatives”.
In his presentation, Dipak will highlight the large-scale research infrastructure initiatives that “are now being established across Europe to make RWD more available.” Aside from this, the talk will highlight proposals for a European Health Data Space.
Dipak is also part of a panel discussion on the digital and remote clinical trials solutions that have been employed as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Together with i~HD founding member Dr. Mats Sundgren, Dipak will also be co-presenting some of the opportunities on real-world data in clinical trials over the past years.
i~HD is a strong believer in using and re-using real-world health data, not only for providing for the safe continuity of care to the individual patient, but also for creating insights for optimising the effectiveness of health systems and boosting research.
The summit is organised by the Cambridge Healthtech Institute, a “life science network for leading researchers and business experts” from sectors such as pharmaceutical, biotech and academic organisations. It is scheduled on 20-21 April 2022 in Barcelona, Spain. Interested parties may attend in person or online.
